Murals for Cambodia 2022: Celebrating Art and Culture with Global Artists

In 2022, Cambodia rang in the Year of the Tiger with the inaugural Murals for Cambodia festival, proudly sponsored by Tiger Beer. This vibrant three-day event brought together local and international artists, including myself, to showcase their work and celebrate artistic collaboration. The festival featured dynamic murals, live performances from Klap Ya Handz and Baramey Records, and a festive atmosphere that truly captured the spirit of creativity.
Organized by Fonki and the FT team, with stunning graphics by Jean Baptiste Carraro (BBK Studios), the festival welcomed artists from diverse locations such as Thailand, Switzerland, France, Japan, Nepal, and the Netherlands. I contributed a mural titled “Noodle Rain” (ភ្លៀងមី), inspired by surrealism and featuring chopsticks transforming rain into noodles. This playful and imaginative piece aligns with the festival’s lively vibe and reflects my fascination with abstract forms and their reinterpretation.
